Hello guys, In todays tutorial, we are going to discuss how to convert your pSIM to eSIM and transfer eSIM from one Samsung Galaxy phone to another via Samsung’s One UI on a Samsung Galaxy device that supports these features.
What is Samsung’s One UI? You might be asking yourself this question if you are not a Samsung user. Let me answer that for you.
Samsung Galaxy Android phones and tablets feature a tailored user interface called One UI, designed for simplicity, user-friendliness, and consistency across Samsung devices. It presents a modern and streamlined look, focusing on easy navigation and inclusiveness. Additionally, it offers various Samsung-specific elements like Bixby, Edge panels, DeX mode, and many other amazing features.
What is an eSIM? You also might be asking yourself this question if you reside in a developing country/nation.
An eSIM, or digital SIM card, is integrated into mobile devices, enabling users to activate a cellular plan without the need for a physical SIM card(pSIM). eSIMs are gaining popularity around the world due to their convenience, security features, and flexibility, providing several advantages over the traditional physical SIM cards (pSIM).
Samsung discreetly introduced device-to-device eSIM transfer and pSIM-to-eSIM conversion in One UI 5.1, a development that went largely unnoticed by most of its users and also to non Samsung users. Currently, these functions are exclusive to Samsung devices running One UI 5.1 or newer, enabling eSIM transfer exclusively between Galaxy devices. Below I have provided a detailed procedure on how you can go through the process of transferring eSIM to your new Samsung device and how to convert pSIM to eSIM.
